Last month, Strode College Film Studies students flew out to Berlin. I spoke to one of those students, Shannon Bridge, on her highlights of the week.
“The tour of the Reichstag Building was great because you got to see all the interesting sights in Berlin just from the roof. It was also interesting to learn about the history.” she said.
But they weren’t there just to see the sights; the real reason they went was to attend the Berlin International Film Festival. There are over half a million admissions, which makes it one of the most popular and attended film festival worldwide.
Although it can be difficult to get tickets to see the films, Tyler Woodburn summed up the movies that they did manage to see.
“We saw four films – Circle, Night of Cups, Paradise in Service and Wonderful World End – and nineteen short films,” he explained. “It was a ruddy good time. I know we were only there for four days, but it was just a sensational time.”
If you want to see Tyler’s reviews of the films he saw then watch the video below.
But be warned, it does feature some naughty words.
