Strode College Sport – Hockey Update

Women's hockey leageu 21st feb

Strode College Women’s hockey team sit third in the league, as it stands on 21st February 2015.

Strode College’s women’s hockey team are currently third in their league and have enjoyed a mixed fun of form over the course of the season. With an equal three wins and three losses, and one draw, they have ten points with three games left to play.

Richard Huish College’s 1st team have already won the league. With seven wins from seven games they have been in great form all season, they beat Strode 8-0 earlier in February.

So with the league title gone Strode will look to win runners up, or at least as close to that as they can get. On Wednesday 25th February they travel to Richard Huish to play the 2nd team. They’ve only played two matches this season but have lost both so Strode can go into the match quietly confident.

In March they play Truro & Pentworth at home, with Truro below Strode in the table at the moment the match on Wednesday 18 March will be very important to both teams.

Back in January Strode were meant to Exeter College at home but that game was called off and the match is yet to be given a re-arranged date. Exeter sit currently two points ahead of Strode, so when the match does come it may very well decide where the two teams finish in the table this season.
