Global Climate Change Protests

In anticipation of the United Nations Climate Summit in New York, a global protest opposing Climate Change has reached more than 160 countries around the world.

From the United States of America and Europe to Delhi and Barcelona, thousands of people came to demonstrate the call for effective action from the UN on Global Warming.

The UN Climate Summit was held in New York on the 23rd September, and was attended by 125 heads of state and government, in the hopes that the gathering could reduce the issue, unlike the unsuccessful climate conference in 2009, which was held in Copenhagen, at which few major decisions were made.

In New York, the UN secretary general Mr Ban Ki Moon joined the protests, and said ‘There is no plan B because we do not have a planet B’.
